The cross symbols represent councils which are infallible from the Orthodox perspective.

Hagiographies are put in the time of the person(s) whom they are about, not when they were actually written.

Also, I have personally only read up till the 8th century, and so after that point there is less material right now — not because there is less material in reality, but because I have not yet acquired it. Expect it later.
